Raja Ampat is best know for world-class scuba diving. Luckily the best part coral reefs often resides in fairly shallow water (3 to 15 meters). Many dive sites are also excellent spots for snorkelling. Sometimes snorkelling can be an advantage, for instance when manta rays are feeding close to the surface or a turtle surfacing for taking breaths.
House Reef Snorkelling
Our house reef has fantastic corals and fish life in shallow waters. You can find schools of fish, blacktip reef sharks and maybe even dugongs (during high tide). Snorkelling on our house reef is free of charge. You just have to bring your own snorkel equipment. It’s important that you do not touch the reef and be very careful. Especially during low tide the water level can fall significantly and you could hurt yourself or marine life.
Aside from our house reef you can also go for a snorkelling trip on the boat with us. You can snorkel without a guide if you feel comfortable with that. Efraim can also join you while snorkelling, have a close eye on you and spot marine life for you. He has great eyes for spotting turtles, sharks, rays etc.
