Our Boryomggung Homestay Raja Ampat lies in a quiet bay with a long, sandy beach. A strip of beautiful mangroves in the middle divides the long beach into two smaller beaches. One of them is our private beach belonging to the homestay. Therefore our guests are the only people using it.
Enjoying the View
White soft sand invites for a walk on the beach, especially when it’s time for the sunset or you see something interesting happening at the surface. From the beach you can sometimes spot dugongs at the taking a breath at the surface or see big mobula rays (maybe even mantas) leaping out of the water and reentering the water with a big splash. Often we can also watch feeding frenzies where big schools of small fish jump out of the water synchronously trying to escape larger hunters (e.g. trevallies).
Our private beach is your gateway to the underwater world of Raja Ampat. From the bungalow it’s just a couple of meters. Usually we can access our house reef pretty easily for a swim or snorkelling (don’t forget to bring your own snorkel set). Furthermore our beach offers us a convenient entry for scuba diving on the house reef. We can simply enter the water with our gear and explore the famous underwater world.
